Wanting to help Japan live, Wataya opened in March 15 in the castle town of Himeji, where the World Heritage Himeji Castle is located.
More than 130 years after Tokichi Sawada started the cotton business in 1880 (Meiji 13), his descendants Yoshihiro Sawada and Hajime Sawada (Hajime) are now proposing the warmth of cotton as handmade products one by one.
Please enjoy the items of the coffin shop that cares about nature and is particular about natural materials. The store, where you can feel the atmosphere of nostalgia and warm memories the moment you step in, was renovated in an old private house built by Haruzo Sawada in the 10th year of the Taisho era, a cotton business store and residence.
In the 2021 NHK taiga drama "Blue Heaven Strikes", Himeji cotton made by Sagiya was used in the drama. When you come to Himeji, please stop by the coffin shop by all means.

■About the experience■

You can ♪ create your own original work one of the only in the world
・Eco-bag (A3 size or B4 size)
2 cotton gauze stoles
You can choose one of them and challenge the indigo dyeing experience.
You can take your work home on the day!

Don't worry if you're a first-timer!
The staff will teach you what kind of dyeing method you can do, so I think the work will be finished as you imagined.
Please take your work home in a plastic bag while it is wet.
Have it dried in the shade at home and it will be completed!

■Request to customers■

Gloves and aprons are provided, so you can experience empty-handed.
We pay close attention, but since we handle liquids, there is a possibility that it will get dirty.
Please be careful with what you serve, and if possible, wear comfortable clothes.

・ Experience reservation, cancellation up to the day before: 15% of the total amount (system fee)
・ Cancellation on the day: 100% of the total amount
